Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian singer and actor from Canada. Her most well-known roles are in the American television series Law & Order (where she played Claire Kincaid, a prosecutor) and Crossing Jordan (where she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons). She was also a part of films like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and in independent film Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The latter was also written and directed by her. Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father was a marketing and meat sales and marketing executive. The position required significant travel and meant that the family moved frequently. Maxine Her mother, also known as Maxine, died in 1982. Her daughter was left under the care of Eleanor Her paternal grandmother. She has a younger brother named John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and an identical twin sister, Jacqueline, who is a journalist for magazines and a television show host in Canada. Hennessy is from Irish, French and Swedish descent, with some Ukrainian Roma and Austrian ancestry. She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She would busk in the subway system of Toronto. Hennessy and her sister made their acting debut playing twins in the 1988 film Dead Ringers. She was short listed for the role of Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who ultimately got the role.She made an appearance on Broadway in the musical Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she starred as Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as an assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. She played the character for three seasons before leaving the show in 1996.
